Shock suggestions

OK... I'm putting an older WISSOTA super stock back together. FYI this is a big Impala stub with a 2X2 square tube chassis behind it. Minimum weight is 2800#... not a problem with my fat ass in the car.

I'm sticking with stock type tubular upper a arms... must have stock lowers. The car is built for heim end shocks (7" front/9" rear)... I am thinking of a mono-tube shocks and am leaning towards Bilstein SZ series...

There are a couple local shock outfits here that can work on these shocks as well as QA1's, etc. I'm looking for good, used shocks I can revalve for my use... this is a budget operation. I've seen good used cores for sale for $20-40 each.

What say you?

As long as there's no visible damage on the shock bodies I say good choice. Just my opinion.

I've had some good feedback on the SZ series from members here and at the track...

Still need some # recommendations... I have an idea and have seen Bilstein's #'s but actual experience means a lot to me.

BTW this is a leaf spring car...
