    gearing question

We switched from power glide with converter to falcon and coupler. Wondering if we would need to change the rear gear to keep the same rpms. Thanks in advance.

I gained around 2-300 RPM when I made the switch. I geared one size higher (numerically - smaller number) and it brought the RPM back to where it was. I think the change was due to the motor winding up more quickly off of the corner, so I had more RPM at the end of the straight.
