does engine set level or down toward trans

converting a mod to a sportsman, so having to move motor forward # 1 plug at l/f ball joint & move mid motor plate forward ,so should motor go in level or down in back .if so how many degree's if measured off top of valve cover ... thanks

motor down in back.
put a level on were carb mounts to intake. that should be level both directions.
Intakes are made to account for the amount of drop the motor needs to have.
