raceciever squelch

I thought I had a problem with my raceciever - I had been using the same raceciever with no problems for 3 years now and two races ago all I got was static unless the promoter was talking across the radio - even tried different ear buds with no luck - so I bought a new raceciever and the same thing happened ... didn't matter what ear buds I used

my question is this - is there a squelch that can be turned off and if so how do you turn it off

i've had this with a low battery too

there is a squelch u have to push 2 buttons at the same time to turn it off but cant remember witch 2 with out looking at mine and push 2 different ones to turn on

Straight from the Raceceiver FAQ:I am hearing all static.Replace BatteryI am hearing all static and I have a new battery.Your Squelch is turned off. Hold the blue button and the right arrow key down at the same time to fix.

The squelch is "on" in default mode.
Turn Raceceiver off and then back on. It should now be on.
The squelch on indicator is in the lower left corner. Here's a pic.

Thanks everyone who posted ... Squelch was off ... Turned it on and so far so good ... Need to try it at the track
