What is the preferred auto parts store steering box for a chevell front clip mod.

Most chassis builders are not using stock boxes anymore. Buy a Sweet 6:1 box and sell the quickner. Its a little pricey but youll get a far better product made for racing.

You can use a box from a Z-28 which is 2.5 turns lock to lock with a quickener. They run about $80-120 remanufactured.

Lares Corporation makes a 12-1 box which sells for about $200.00 + or -.

I've been told a '95-'98 jeep grand Cherokee also has a 12-1 Saginaw 805 box that will work.
