Thoughts of using an el camino frame?

Any thoughts? Are they similar to a Chevelle?

Depends on year. Either the same as a Chevelle or metric just longer. Thinking about it, don't think el caminos were made before '73

There were also 1959 & 1960 models that used X style frames of the full size Chevrolets.

68-72 El Camino is a 4 door Chevelle frame. I restored a 68 ElCamino and had to replace some floor boards behind the seat. They were actually the foot wells for the rear seat in a 4 door car. Cut the floor out of a 4 door car and it was exact match. So Ya, the same, just longer
