Rear gear for 1/4 mile track

Just starting out and the track where I live is going to be running some races this year but are going to be using the small track and I believe it is going to be a 1/4 mile. I run a IMCA sportmod with a crate 602 and was wondering what the best gear would be between a 6.00, 6.20 or 6.33 (ford 9").

Cant answer what you right gear is for your track, lots go into that, Motor, RPM, track shape, tire diam etc etc etc but when we ran 9" rears I ran a 7.00 on the 1/4 and 6.50 on the 1/3 and turned 7K, so I'm gona say you need more gear

        If it's chipped at 6200 I'd start with a 5.83 gear.

It is the Track in Imperial, California. they have not ran our class there ever. It has been shut down for a few years because it is on a fairgrounds property and the insurance and state have not been allowing racing because of the policies. It used to be a fast 3/8 mile track but in order to get the insurance back they had to shrink the track too a 1/4 mile so there is no info available from them so I was asking out to other people who have ran a sportmod on this size track. Thanks for the responses guys. will let you know which way i go. Racing starts in January
