    Pullbar length & Angle

Working with a 4 bar Skyrocket that has a QuikCar - 4 biscuit pullbar that is 35.5" center to center. The mounted angle comes out to be 18.80*. My experience with other cars has been 18* to 20* but that is usually with a bar length of around 24".

I guess the question is that with a longer bar length, should the 18 to 20* still be okay? Also with it set like it is, the pinion angle is right at 9* which is where the book calls for it to be.

You are in the ball park. The short bars are thought to hook quicker but the long bars hook hard than you think.

The short bar will change angle more than the long bar for a given amount of chassis hike.
Basically, the short is more reactive requiring excellent throttle control while the long bar will more forgiving.
