Solid pull bar with Johnny joint ends

Anybody ever made or ran a solid pull bar....Bmod... With rubber bushing heims? Don't think it's legal but....rules say solid bar not mounts.

Allstar also has a very nice tunable third link bushing that looks like the rubber rod end.

Have a friend who used them they do cushion but they must run straight no misalignment we do not use them for that reason as we change left to right alignment on ours to adjust lr drive

Real simple drawing and could make one way more effective but it shows a simple version of what can be done, but once someone sees it expect some complaining and probably being outlawed.

I like how you think, billet. If I remember right, in the late 90's, wissota superstocks were runining 5" dia. rubber bushings of various durometer on pullbar and lower links. Haven't saw any for awhile. I seem to remember Ron at Dirt Track Supply having them. Your drawing gets me thinking about how to put them on.

put a big washer between bolt head and rubber bushing and no one would ever see the bushing.

How much movement does one need to have an effective result?

Are you asking about movement in bushing or left to right angle in pull bar.Our bar is angled toward rf wheel for maximum drive

Somewhat hypothetical question on extension actually.
I race a Modified under USRA/USMTS and always used a spring. Spring compresses around 2 1/2" most nights.
If one were to use a bushing like Billet posted but it only allowed the axle to rotate backwards 1" of extension, is that enough for the chassis to react to and help the driver?. What about a 1/4"? can a driver or chassis really feel and react to that small a change? 1" might be worth trying to get passed the tech man. 1/4" I doubt would be worth the trouble.
My car and I certainly cannot feel anything less than 1"

I think with the limited movement the only thing it would help would be to cushion the shock to the rear tire a little bit when throttle is hit . Might not be worth the effort on second thought .
