5 piece hood kit installation

just got our new body from performance bodies. we got the 5 piece hood kit. I was wondering how the sides that make it wider are fastened. do they stay on and you just take the center hood piece off to get to the engine? Seems to me it rests on the decking and in the front it must fasten to to nose piece? Maybe its a dumb question, but if the sides are separate from the center, how do the sides stay fastened? thanks

When I use that hood kit I dzus fasten the outer panels to the car then use hood pins on the center piece.
