Birdcage Indexing

How much is too much? I currently have the top rod dropped on the birdcage 1 hole from standard. 4" of drop, 30 degrees indexed into the spring at full hike, and 40 degrees top Rod angle. Looks like most of the top runners are running the top Rod through the center of the axle.

If ran through the center line of the axle wouldn't that be pushing the over-indexing issue? Making the risk higher than the reward
