broke the top ring on #8 piston puttin bottom end together,..any way to get just one top ring or am i gonna have to buy a hole set for one ring??

Also, if #8 wasn't your last piston, then I would finish putting the rest in, and order an extra ring just in case!

cant get plasma moly rings at parts store,..went to a local builder in madison nc,jerry newman at M&M block an heads,..busy as he was he took the time to dig threw his "spare ring"s" shelf an hooked me up no charge!! great people!!white trash motorsports

Now that you have that fixed. Go get a tapered ring compresser and never break a ring again. You can push piston in by hand first time every time. Best thig out there!!!!!

yeah was useing a band type with a 1/4 ratchet,..bottom band came loose between 6 an 8....never barrow a tool,..gotta buy him anutter one an me one too now...white trash motorsports

I use the tapered ring compressors when there aren't head studs. I bought the set of 3 for $65 from speedway. Not sure what brand the band type compressor I have is. Looks just like a KD Tools #850.JD's Performance
