Going to try howards cam that is 248/252 on 106 lsa this year. Says opersting range is 2500-6500 rpm. What rpm should gear car for 11.5:1 350. Light weight assembly. Vortec heads, super victor, JDR 4412 carb. Track usually dry slick for feature.

What size track? Flat or banked? Tight corners?

1/4 mile banked tight corners. American racer kk704 3150lb Street Stock. On my dads car I ran 6.83 few nights and recall showed from 6900 to 7100 depending on track condition. His car is basically the same except has 6.125 rods and mine are 5.7. Also his cam is different. Everyone there runs something different though from 6.20 to 6.83. I think the guy that has been winning is running 6.20. Most run 6.50 though i think. I have 6.83 and 6.50 available. Was wondering if I should go with one of those are order something different.

with the short rod and the close lobe separation, i would go with the higher gear , 6:20 -6:50, on that short of track, probably start with 6:50 you have then see what it turns, good luck....

I agree. That shorter rod isn't gonna take a ton of rpm. I'd go 6.20-6.33.
