    stripped head bolt

what can i do for a stripped head bolt hole helicoil?keensert? would only pull 40 ft pounds . it is on the top side of the cylinder ,dont think there is enough material without getting into cylinder wallfrom the inside to install a large enough helicoil to bring it back to 7/16. any block savers or is my fresh block junk?

Well this might not be the right way to fix it but a few years ago we had the same problem and since the block had just been punched out to .060 over we put in a heli coil with jb weld and installed head studs. Ran it 25 shows that way and then put it in a drag car where is still is to this day. It has about 100 1/4 passes on it and no problems.
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!

Helicoil should work fine. Have put in several with no problems.
