Hello I just put this ford svo 358 dry sump, steel head and block, with roller cam and jesel rockers . I fired it up for about 5 mintines and shut it down b/c a couple of valve springs were hitting the valve covers. when i pulled the covers off i notice that there was like only 2 rockers that had oil coming up out of the push rods only on the left bank. the right bank has plenty of oil for the rockers. I just hope i need to let it run more to get the oil though the whole system. let me know what u think guys. Thanks Chad

did you prime the motor with a old distributor/priming tool and a drill? -
Yes i primed the oil pump with a drill before i fired itComment

id pull the valve cover off then try priming again with the drill. make sure you have oil pressure before you try breaking it in and spin a bearing or something. shouldnt require you to pull the motor. just pull the dizzy and pull the valve covers off. i think it would be well worth your time to do that before trying to just fire it up.....JMO thoughComment

Seen this before, Under your intake at the back there is a pressed in plug. It can be leaking, or worse yet, not there at all. Also, there are plugs at both ends of your cam that plug off the oil galleries at the end of the block. You may want to check that they are all in place. You can lose one at the front on either side and lose your op at the rockers.Comment

Thanks guys fired it up again let with run for about 10 mintues and shut it off and checked it and have plenty of oil up there now, so i think we are good, Thanks for all the helpComment
