    fuel bowls empty overnite

We have a Quickfuel 750 ct gas carb atop a 409 sbc. We noticed after cleaning Sunday the fuel bowls were empty. We just raced less than 24 hrs ago. Unless the power valves were open or you manually use the squirters, how could it drain?

they can drain through the carb being heat soaked, boiling off the fuel inside, after you shut the engine down, they can also drain through faulty gaskets, but you usually see that on your intake.

I agree with C10! Fuel just 'boiled out of carb.

Never heard of this condition. Called QF today their answer was bad p.v. or bowl screws loosened letting the metering block drain. Im not buying all 8 screw loosened allowing both blocks to drain. well we have some work to do as the ar133's are black after the race. 74 fronts 77 rears, maybe the idle system is way rich. it sure starts and idles good, seems a lil lazy on the track tho.
