Axle/Axle tube tips.

I am putting new tubes and axles in a Frankland. 31"-33" for a Masters. How far out of the end of the tube does the axle have to be?

I'm very new to this and would like any advice or tps that anyone has about how to do this with minimal physical injury.

I suppose tube measurements are different from different rears, or type of side bells?

Best way to determine that is just throw the hub (with drive plate) on each side. Slide the axles in and adjust from there. Make sure there's a bit of room between the end of the axle and the cover on the drive plate. If you run it tight once the axle heats up it can push that cover off or bow it pretty easy.

It's been a while since I've done this, but around 1/4" total of extra space seems about right (which would be 1/8" per side).
