sprint car engine

I blew a motor in my mod this weekend and the back up is not ready yet. I have a 360 sprint engine hanging on the stand. Both are wet sump motors. My big question is can I put a flex plate and balancer on it and run it or are they balanced different due to not running a flex plate and balancer?

the main thing I would ask is did you run the direct mount water pump the type the run off the crank inplace of a harmonic balancer.
