Ignition step up

Have been advised to put in a unit to step up our msd ign to 18v......
What is the best product to use ????
When installing, do you have to feed 18v to both the hard wire ( that would be connected directly to the + on the battery ) as well as the ign switch wire to make it all work with 18v ????

We build a 20volt voltage regulator called Maxpwr20, the suggestion is worth considering. The unit allows your ignition program to get everything out of the system possible.
