Air filter for vent on cell

I've looked thru my racing parts books and didn't see an air filter to fit the vent on our cell, its an .5in line. Anybody bought these at a parts store and haven't looked in parts store yet as I live 20 miles from closet one. Thanks

Its going to be hard to find a "small" type canister filter with 1/2" inlets and outlets at a parts store. Alot of people use a fuel filter and just attach it to the vent line to keep the dirt out of the vent. Most car fuel lines are 5/16" to 3/8" so see if you can get the bigger one and just put a hose clamp on it. Another option is this:

You would have to order it though. Depending on the store some carry the Mr. Gasket brand of things that have these filters as well.

just make sure you run your vent where its below your cell so fuel dont pour out if you flop it on its top. ive seen to many cars burn up cause they just had a filter ontop the cell.

We have the hose run down the side of the cell. I was wondering if a fuel filter would work, we're getting some sand in the fuel and I think that is where it is coming from. Thanks

we run the crank case filter that is shown above from speedway. we just used a hose connector so we didnt collapse the hose when we tightened it down.works good for us. we run ours on the drivers side and put some black rolled plastic in front of it so it doesnt get peppered by mud all the time.

Every fuel cell vent should have a roll over valve on it!!!! If yours does NOT, get one on it. Eric
