What is the HP/torque potential w/ the following rules?

I'm allowed to run one of 2 options w/ my motor at my track. #1 option allows for around a 530 HP (6200) 485 ft/lb (4400) and car has to weigh 3200 lbs.

Engine Package Option #2: Must weigh 3,000 lbs.
    a. Aftermarket blocks and factory performance blocks are allowed.
    b. No aluminum blocks or heads.
    c. Engine set back is center of #1 spark plug hole, even with ball joint. Cars with upper
ball joint, to be determined by track officials.
    d. Cast iron heads only, straight or angle plug okay.
    e. Aluminum or cast iron intakes.
    f. Roller cams and roller rockers are okay.
    g. 2-barrel carburetors only. 500 CFM with 1 11/16” throttle bore maximum. Maximum
3½” adapter and/or spacer, including gaskets, measured from intake flange to
carburetor base plate. No Predator-style carburetors. Track official has final say on
    throttle bore spacing.
    h. Mechanical fuel pumps only. Must be gas only, no alcohol.

I don't know what option #1 is but at our shop we recently dynoed a 377 and a 420 SBC with the 4412 Holley and I'm extremely skeptical that you could get anywhere near 530hp with such a small carb. Dyno numbers are so easy to fake it's scary. I will say this. The uncorrected 351hp 377 made a ton of money last fall. We're building 4 more combos in the near future that will run the 500cfm Holley carb and should have alot more time to experiment with them. We'll see how it turns out and post the results.

Option 1 is a 4 bbl 750cfm alky 360 w/ unported vortec heads, a .480 lift rule flat tappet solid lifter cam super victor intake, all forged lightweight bottom end, roller rockers. The 530hp number is mildly conservative but what I am curious about is whether it would be worth weighing 200 lbs less w/ the 2 barrel motor rule? I'm just trying to make sure that I am going the right direction w/ my car. I can get it to scale at 3000 lbs and still be great w/ all my percentages and ride heights. I am guessing that I can build a motor w/ somewhere around 420-450HP and 380 ft lbs of tq but just looking for opinions.

with those wide open rules 500hp is doable with a 4412. a few reputable guys on here have done it as well as others that i know of. best i've personally seen was 515hp 530tq on a conservative dyno.

We did 536hp with a flat top 406 that would meet those rules, 4.155 x 3.75 on a gauge 4412, but bolt on the 4bbl, and it did 740hp

Yeah you might do that power with option 1. Arguing peak dyno numbers is moot. They all read different and different dyno manufacturer's software calculates things differently. Ours does tend to be conservative. Our correction factors in Illinois summer air are usually only 1.07 to 1.09 while a shop we know in Houston at sea level says their Superflow usually corrects 1.17 to 1.20. I'm not sure about a 200hp change from the carb swap but hey, I don't know it all. Could happen, I guess, maybe. Like I said we'll get to play with these carbs alot in the coming months so maybe I'll learn something.

I have a bunch of .480 cams and vortec stuff I don't need since we moved up a class.PM me if you are interested. We were getting a little over 500hp on gas.

The hp isn't as big of a deal, I am merely wanting to make sure I'm not going out there on a crutch. HP is needed at the tracks but you can only hook up so much.

People who go by engine dyno's are just chassing their tails. Nobody's read the same and people can do alot of things to make theirs look better than others.

A chassis dyno is by far the best way to see what you have before you hit the track.

The only true test is "on track" performance.

same goes for chassis dynos. your better off using a certin dyno and keep going to that same one so you have a fair comparison.

We had a 358 sbc with DART heads, angle milled and all good parts with a trick Crower solid lifter cam and a gauge legal 4412 Willy's and got 473 HP on a very conservative dyno. Never got out hp'd during that season....With the right parts you can get 450-500 hp with a 4412...IMO

Only plan on racing at Outlaw 5-7 times this year. Going to be at Salina most of the time. My car and engine will be legal.
