What is the motor going in? If it is a stock block turning under 6500 I use the hv55.

run the 10552 pump. the m55hv pumps have a thinner casting and are much weaker.

My concern would be pumping the pan dry in the cornrers, the bigger pump has a higher flow rate even though it is a better pump. You should get decent performance out of the M55, an HV if you have a good size pan and the 10552 if you have a nice pan with plenty of volume and good flow back in the block.

Also you need to make sure you have a couple small tabs on the sides of the pick-up to prevent the pan from smashing against it if the car bottoms out ( I have used chassis tabs plenty of times ). You want to keep the pick-up face 1/4" to 1/2 inch from the bottom of the pan ( my opinion ).

I would also use the stiffest spring available ( usually pink ) if you are running hydraulics, they love pressure.
