    head gasket repair

i have a 76 ford w/a 400m motor and i changed the oil one day and then noticed the new oil had water in it so i changed it again and still got water in it. though the antifreeze is still full i have noticed it dirty like there is oil in it.
its nothing to special of a motor and i figured its a headgasket. has anyone ever used a stop leak rather then replacing the headgasket.
im a student and need a kinda quick fix
    thanks in advanced

Head gasket leak is hard to fix,Bars leaks would be my choice to try.You may have an intake leak, these motors were notorious for problems like this.Check the intake bolts ,make sure they are tight. The stop leak may do the trick.Un locking the radiator cap, keeping the cooling system from building pressure may prove to be a quick fix for your leak.

There is some head gasket repair stuff out there and it does work i blew a head gasket on a ford 460 ci pick this stuff from a truck repair shop and followed the directions and it held up for 2 1/2 yrs towing to and from the track it is a temporary fix but will get by till you have time to replace the gaskets.
