    New noise limit at my track. Can anybody suggest a muffler for a modified tha will quiet the motor dowm to aprox. 95 db that will flow without excessive back pressure?

    Spintech are amoungst the quietest out there, espicially the VRA ones.

    But we have used the Dynatech split flo ovals, and have always passed the weekly sound test (during qualifying)

    I know some guys who didnt pass, and put the auger inserts in, and were then ok

    Turning the turndowns either toward each other, or toward the infield usually helps, depending where they are standing with the db meter

    IMCA also has an approved muffler for 95db tracks, in their rules, I believe

      Extreme Mufflers in Ventura, CA make some really nice ones! Quite a few of the Super Dirt Late Models run them and we have a 95 db @ 100 foot limit in California and they get us below that no problem!
