It is time for a new battery and I would like to get a little extra cranking power. Can I go with a 16 volt (I know I will need the charger also) and simply "drop it in"?? The MSD, gauge lights and such will still be okay ?
You will be fine, years ago when I started using 16 volt batteries, they sold a regulator that you were supposed to go through for everything but your starter... I never used it. Been using 16 volt for about 12 years, just normally wired everything and have never had a single problem....
