I got a 331ci aluminum Brodix -11 heads team G intake and super sucker spacer, dome tops ,custom comp cam,3.250 stroke ,6.125 rods , ever since i put that spacer on i almost get run over on the restarts, runs like crazy on top, motor cuts out when i spank it.Took the spacer out and it runs fine wounder why it dont like that spacer?I am putting an old strip dominator intake on now, i am curious if that little of a motor might like a little smaller intake like this.So any thoughts on this DUDE?
Hey performance connection!

Obviously I'm not Perfconn, but your engine doesn't like the bigger plenum that the spacer created. A smaller plenum in the intake will usually give you better low end throttle response at the expense of top rpm HP and vice versa...No secrets there

Edelbrock makes a 2975 victor jr which is the smallest
They also make a 2976 4+4 which is a little bigger and better
Then they make a victor which is really big
The best one is the 2925 super victor whick is the best design but not the biggest
They also make a 2926 for raised runner heads
Finally they are making a bigger but different design for big inch sbchevys that isn,t available yet.
Don't get the wrong one or performance will suffer.Last edited by perfconn; 05-27-2012, 06:13 AM.

that little super victor will probly work the best for my little motor, the heads i got have big valves and the intake ports suck so their not flowing very good, prolly why it sucks down low,i have a good set of darts that came from nick b. , but i will have to get a new set of pistons to run them and a set of offset lifters to.

Have you tried making changes to the acclerator pump cicuit. The bigger plenum requires more fuel at the crack of the throttle to respond. Bigger squirter, more aggresive pump cam, 50cc. just somethings to try and cheaper then another intake, that will most likely hurt the top end.Josh K.
