Trying to figure out if I'm to lean or rich or a dist problem. When I roll out of the throttle it pops and will shoot a flame out of the pipe. It will also do it just free revving though. I pulled a few plugs and they were pretty white but I did have to idle it for a few mins after the feature cuz she was running a little warm and we sprayed water into the radiator. I have a 418ci brodix 10 heads Msd dist and box Holley 830 carb with 74 and 76 jets. Located in ne oh.

Either to rich, retarded timing or header gaskets leaking, is usually what cause this. The flames is unburnt fuel burning in the pipe.Josh K. -
check for cracked header tubes as well.Comment

Ok. Found 2 long cracks on the under side of my pipes. Well see if it's better tomorrow. ThanksComment

Along with the cracks I also found my power wire to my Msd box was loose. I fixed that and the cracks and now no more popping. Thanks!!!Comment
