    Water Pump Belt Extrememly Tight

I bought a set of Speedway 1 to 1 pulleys, and the belt that came with them is extremely tight, it was impossible to put it on by putting it on with the water pump pulley. I had to roll it on, which was nearly impossible. It's way tighter than I think it should be, is it going to kill my water pump?

The belt is a 7300, 30 5/8. The next size up that I could get ahold of is a 7305, 31 1/4, and it's too loose.

25-7304 Thats the NAPA number. Measures 30.750"

Should work perfect for you. If you dont have a NAPA store near by they should be able to cross the number. Eric

Thanks, I'll hunt that up. Should relax it a little.

Same belt I run. I bought speedways pulley and belt set a couple times now. Never run the belt that comes with them.

That belt is so short it doesnt take much change in length to make it too tight or too loose. I change that 7304 every 20-30 nights. Eric
