    Iron Eagle Block

Got a good deal on a Dart Iron Eagle block. I know it takes a different timing chain and a spread rail oil pan. Anything else special about it we need to know?

It's an exact copy of the Dart aluminum block.Very strong and very heavy. It uses a big block cam journals and lots of work required to run as a wetsump.

There are no oil drain back holes in the valley. If you run it as a wetsump you will have to drill holes in the valley to get the oil back into the oilpan.

            This is all true !

To buy an oil pan is outragous .Had one ten years was bored to 4.195 nice piece ! drilled oil drainback holes in it myself ! sold it and was still being ran last i knew. Also had to run remote filter and lines !

If weight and work is of no concern then the Iron Eagle block is the best and strongest steel block on the market.
