whats the most popular engine size and combos for ashalt?were contemplating asphalt mod at columbus motorspeedway in columbus ohio.we have a 400 block,and a 350 block and sportsman 2 heads vic jr intake,750 carb,comp cams 12-657-5 cam.can we build a competitive engine with what we got or do we need to go bigger.is there a better cam choice for us?cms is a 1/3 mile almost flat track.thanks ......

According to the engine rules, there are going to be some serious engines youre running against.
If you want to use the parts you have, I would use the 350 block and build a 13-1+ compression 3-9/16 stroker with your heads and camshaft and save your money until you can build a nice piece.
To be competitive, I think you would need a lot more engine. With the exception of the dry sump oiling, the engine rules are the same for the latemodels.
