400 sbc build

I have a 400 sbc that came out a pure stock. I'd like to run it in a UMP street stock. what should I do/ change to make it a competitive motor in that class. it currently has around 375 horsepower, what would be a good horsepower number to shoot for?

Do you know the internals of the engine what heads are on it?If it was in pure stock id imagine it had a mild cam.Id tear it down and see what was in it before i got to excited.
