Head gaskets

I know it has been asked - but here goes again.

4.125 bore, iron block and aluminum head. Fel-Pro 1004 or 1034 ??

So what would be the problem with a 1003 if it didn't hang over on the head. More gasket material between cylinders.

1003 will work.The 1034 is just better.The gasket between cylinders doesn't make much difference.The metal fire ring is what seals the compression.
