Max stroke for SBC OEM Block

Can you safely clearance a stock 350 block for a 3.875 stroke crank??

I've run the hell out of a 010 block that's got a 3.875 Callie's crank in it. Used to run it in my 3000 lb pro stock on a hooked up hammer down 3/8 mile. Never had an ounce of problems with it, it can be done.

You will also have trouble with the rods hitting the cam.

That's good to know. I knew that the 3.875 worked but didn't know 4" would. It's good to get info from someone who's tried it rather than the forum Experto.

the trick is use a 1 piece rear seal block. It has more room,use the stroker rods. i was told this setup there is not much grinding for clearence. I have a block and crank but it will be a month or two before i can afford rods and pistons.
