    Running in high gear.

Has anyone done any tests on wether it makes a difference running in high gear with a 7 to 1 ratio, verse running say a 1.89 second gear and 3.73 rear end.I have heard that it takes less power running in high gear, but does it use more power spinning the driveshaft faster and running the 7.00 rear gears through gear lube faster as opposed to the 3.73????I have always ran in second, but may try the high gear deal if its better. Thanks alot for any info....
