whats a good piston to use? i see light weight pistons that say they are good for up to 400 hp, but i was thinking that is kind of low? is a 383 with a gauge legal VDL carb going to make more then 400 hp? motor rules are basically open aslong as you have a gauge legal carb and cast iron heads and block. planning to run Iron eagle 64cc heads. dont know the runner off the top of my head.

A good engine builder will hit 520 hp easy. I have seen guys run the 2 bbl LW pistons. If you need the motor on kill, get the very best pistons sold. I dont spend money that way.Gator Engineering
