Alternator??

Its going ok.

I dont think our races are long enough to warrant a alternator. I dont even charge my battery at 2-3 day shows.

What kind of battery do you use?

The alt I found:
1988 Toyota Tercel, manual trans, autozone number 14685, 7 1/2 lbs, 45 amp, short and good mounts. Has mv pulley with standard shaft. I found 1 groove pulley in my junk.Watch the pulley, it needs a small spacer between pulley and bearing. Wiring is simple, a small lite and 2 hots.

I have some time so I'll try the wrecking yard for a import water pump pulley and re drill it for the Chevy water pump. I would prefer to use the MV belt anyway.
