Im haveing a carb issue with my holly 4412, fuel is coming out of my breather tube wright in front of the bowl i tryed rebiulding it but must be missing somthing still havin same prob, any one have a fix for me.
For some reason the needle is not seating in the seat of the inlet to shut the flow of fuel off to the fuel bowl. The seat could have a piece of dirt between seat and the needle valve. The float could be way out of adjustment. To proper set a float before installing the fuel bowl, turn the fuel bowl upside down and adjust the float to be level in the bowl. Final adjustment will be need to be made with the engine running. The float could be bad. If the float is brass, they can develop a leak where fuel leaks inside the float, which the float will not raise up in the fuel bowl to shut fuel flow through the needle and seat. If it is the black compressed paper float, that float can become fuel logged and not float also. Check what you did first and work through the problem. Let us know what happened so we can help more if needed.

more than likely a stuck needle and seat.....if not it, then check the float level, to high, then finally to high of fuel pressure. check in that order. you will find your issue. good luck!
