Udlmcs chevy engines

My buddy and I just purchased a dirt late model rolling,...was looking for advise on which engine combo(chevy) to run,...not interested in crate,...don't want to break the bank, but would a steel head chevy combo be competitve in the southeast, OCALA, HENDRY COUNTY, GEORGIA tracks? Thanks for any suggestions

That is what the NLMSS motors are with an aluminum head as an option.

you asked about a steel head motor and were not interested in a crate, the steel head motors are what many in the NLMSS run. The crate engine that would run with it are aluminum headed engines. FYI unless you have your stuff together on an engine program your steel head motor is going to be an anchor compaired to the pro. built ones.
