Rod side cearance.

How important is this? Steel rods and steel crank - Compstar. One of the old books I have say .020 for racing. I am getting a tight .010 measurement.

Too much won't hurt,too little will.

The book says to rub them on sandpaper to get needed celarance - is that okay or should I send them to a machine shop.

Take much off and crank will need rebalanced.
