ok guys looking at a sb2 steel block with sb2 alum heads with 3.875 stoke would that be enough to run supers and what kid of HP can it put out. it would be around 430 cu.going mainly going to run steel head but looking for a engine to run some big shows close to the house and can get this one reasonable.

We run a 4.165 x 3.875 SB2.2 combo. 820 hp on a conservative dyno...Have zero problems with being out horsepowered out here on the West Coast...

thats close to max the block is a gm sb-2 block like that used by nascar teams. a local racers on alky had dyno sheets with 900+ hp with his 430 but he couldn't get the car to handle so he went back to his 18 degree 390 cuin.Originally posted by twisterf5 View Postbut will it go to 4.180 don'y wont to buy it if it not going to last
