    Durabond Cam Bearings

Anybody used the GMP-55-HP cam bearings. Thinking of doing a 55MM cam wth these bearings but worried they will not hold up. Thanks

You should have any problems, I have machined alot of cam tunnels for those bearings and have machined the SBF for that bearing and to date no issues.

I have to high end SBC blower engines with the GMP-1 which is for the BBC cam jounals and those engines run 1250 over the nose and never been a problem in the last 12 years,

There is alot more surface area with the bigger cam core.

Thanks for the info, never been a fan of babbitt cam bearings and looks like Durabond is the only one that makes these bearings
