The port design in most "305" heads is much smaller, I have seen a set with 1.94 valves out flow a set that had ben cut for 2.02 because the way the work was done on the small runners killed flow. Always stayed away from any 305 head just for flow reasons.

I would stay away. Poor flow compared to most other heads. Folks run these mainly to get a compression increase. I suggest running a good set of heads with dome pistons rather than 305 heads with flat tops.

I've ran these heads with stock bottom ends against $10,000 cnc motors. And pulled away. These are the lightest sbc iron head. Ran them with a 26 lb 313 lol. They can be part of a good package. But not with 202s. Barely fit 194sOriginally posted by speedbuggy View PostI would stay away. Poor flow compared to most other heads. Folks run these mainly to get a compression increase.
