    need help

    Every time my car gets up to normal tempature (180-200) and u shut it off the car won't start back up it sounds really labored and it turns very slow...could it be a bad battery, or starter, or timing is to advanced need help thanks

    Could be any of those. Check the cables as well.

      The list you supplied are worth looking at. Race engines usually have things that add up to hard starting. High compression, long duration and big overlap cams, long battery cables, locked in distributors with out mechanical advance and most times a very rich mixture for low RPM starting speed.

      A lot of cranking amps is good.
      Replacing battery cables with Welding cable is good.
      Keeping the connectors clean is good
      Taking your starter to someone that knows how to soup it up and turn the engine faster is good
      Having some type of mechanical advance that is dependable is good. Tip set it a little higher than your Idle speed to be full in advance and check it often with a timing light..
