Probably a dumb question but did you check to see if the rubber ring off the last oil filter is still stuck above the new filter? It's the only thing I could think of if the pressure relief is working properly.

Stop using fram filters. If you are using them. Also make sure your adapter is tight
My sarcasm is a pre-emptive strike to your stupidity!!

I use wix filters and I double checked the adapter and the old rubber seal...none of that was a prob...its not just leaking outta there its blowing out with a ton of pressure

#1 Have you tried a different filter?
#2 Is this something that just started or is it a new engine and this was the first start and it did it?
          A. If it is a new engine what oil pressure is it hitting?
          B. If it is a engine you have been running check for debris that could be plugging the oils return to the engine.

Always use a good bypass eliminating filter adapter on a race engine.
