396 sbc question???

Guys I have found a 396 witch is a 350 block with a 3.875 stroke crank in it, im running a street stock around 3200lbs and was wondering what this motor would be like, has anyone had any experciance with these,good bad anything, thanks in advance

Awesome motors. I have two of them, just make site it's cammed for a car that heavy.

Never had a 396. But I have a 410 I had in my street stock. Which is a 350 block with a 4 inch crank. Was alot of work and money to get it to work but its worth it. Lots of power and very smooth motor. I sold my car last year but kept the motor. Never had any issues with it.

how much work is it to put a 4 inch in a 350. what all is involved
