with the motor cold, what is a ball park reading on cylinder head compressions after 3-5 pumps?

Let me share a little info I have learned. you can't get good numbers cold on a compression test. second your better off with a leak down test because depending on your cam and valve overlap you could show low compression numbers on a compression test. A leak down test will also give you a better analysis of your engine health by telling you where the leak is happening (intake or exhaust valves, past rings, or even a head gasket. This test also has to be done with the engine at operating temp because your pistons have to swell to seal your engine. Hope this helps
