    expansion tank plumbing

Can anyone tell me how to plumb a expansion tank into the cooling system. We just order one from speedway and has no directions on what goes where. The a an fitting at the bottom of the tank and another one on the side. It has a pressure cap top. We run a normal radiator from speedway. How do we plumb it in.

Run a -10 or so line from the bottom of the tank to the water pump plug that is on the inlet side of the water pump (lower hose side) . Cap or plug the fitting in the side of the expansion tank. Put a higher pressure cap on the radiator or plug it. Put your normal cap on the tank. Make sure the tank is higher than the engine and radiator. Fill the system so the tank is half full or so cold. Once you get it filled correctly you will never need to add water again.
