I am getting back into racing after 5 years off. I know the oil has changed since I last raced. I always used the Kendall GT1 green oil. What oil should I run in my imca engine now?

I use Valvoline VR1 20W50 full synthetic in the black bottle and have had great results -
Solid cam motor will need an oil high in Zink. I would run Brad Penn. Very high in Zink which will be perfect for your solid lifters.

I use Kendall GT1 20-50. The race blend has the zinc in it and I can buy it locally for under $3 a quart. No oil related issues so far.Comment
