im building a motor for a sport mod under local rules. im not familiar at all with these types of low hp engines, it is a 383 pulling 15lbs vacum at 1000 rpm with double hump heads 2.02 1.60 valves heads cant be touched other than valves. carb will be a gauge legal 4412. can run any 23* intake, i always see that the super victor is the best intake no matter what size or configuration engine its on, would that be the best intake for this combo or is there a better intake i should look at getting. probably going to crank 6000-6500 rpm. thanks for any help, 4bangerhotrod

I had a team g on a motor a lot like what you listed on my b mod engine and it worked out great. in fact that's what I put on the new engine a 347 cu in. short stroke 400. -
don't need the super vic jr,that size of intake whith the carb restrictions and head restrictions will hurt velocity and effect throttle response and vacuum signal.there are better choices for the sportmod class..Comment
