    rocker arm stud.

I have an older pair of double hump heads, I need to remove the pressed in studs and use a screw in stud. My question is, do I need to have the stud bosses cut down or just tap the bosses the way that they are after removing the pressed in stud's?

Depends on whether the screw in studs have a hex on them.If there is a hex then you must remove the thickness of the hex from the stud boss.If no hex then just tap them and install studs.

If you are going to run guide plates, you may want to also add their thickness to the amount milled off the top of the bosses.
